Making A Purchase Making a purchase could not be easier. Take time to browse our site and search for the product you desire. Click on any sweets you wish to purchase. Select the quantity you desire and add the item to your shopping basket. After you have finished shopping, click on "checkout" and you will be asked for further details to enable us to complete your order.

All orders made by card will be processed on receipt of your order.
If payment is by cheque the order will be dispatched as soon as the cheque has been cleared by our bank.

Gift boxes: You may opt to have your sweets delivered in gift boxes and you may enter a message to be included. WHEN ORDERING 250GRAMS OF SWEETS IT WILL BE PACKAGED IN ONE BOX. WHEN ORDERING 2, 250GRAMS OF SWEETS IT WILL BE PACKAGED IN ONE 500GRAM SIZED GIFT BOX AND SO FORTH. We reserve the right to refuse any message that we feel may cause offence to the addressee. We will then recalculate your order with the additional charge for this service.

The total value of your order in Pounds Sterling will be displayed on the order confirmation screen. If you are shopping from the United States or other country out with the United Kingdom, place your order and your credit card company will apply the appropriate exchange rate and convert the transaction to US dollars or to your own currency.

Shipping And Handling Shipping and handling:. This is an additional charge to reflect DHL posting rates and packaging and handling costs. Our standard UK deliveries are sent by DHL and are next day delivery.

When ready to be dispatched all our orders will be next day delivery.
DHL will attempt to deliver 3 times. They will leave a card after the 1st attempt is after 3 attempts there will be an additional charge of £6.00

Order placed after 12 midday on Friday will not be dispatched until Monday

We do our utmost to keep our charges to a minimum. For non-Mainland orders the shipping will be calculated automatically.

Delivery Schedule We aim to dispatch orders as quickly as possible providing all items are in stock. If an item is out of stock we will usually hold the order for 2-3 days while we try to obtain it, unless requested otherwise. Longer delays may result in the order being dispatched in two parts. In both scenarios we will email you to inform you of the situation, and you have the option to cancel the order at any time.

Orders placed Monday - Friday will be dispatched within a maximum of 5-7 days. Orders received over the weekend or during bank holidays will be dispatched within the next 5-7 working days.

Delivery times are governed by our carriers and are an approximation. We can not garantee delivery date or time to deliver. Any delivery times are quoted from when the order is fullfilled to the package reaching its destination. We use Parcel Force Euro 48 and International Scheduled Euro 48 for orders over 2kg, internationally. They deliver within 2 workings days to most major European cities and within 3-4 days elsewhere in Europe including Eastern Europe destinations. International Scheduled deliver from 3 working days. Unfortunately we cannot be responsible for customs clearence.

Back Orders Back ordered items will be sent within 3-4 days. If there is a similar product avaliable, we reserve the right to substitute this for the product ordered.

Tax Charges For orders made from the United Kingdom or European Union, 17.5% VAT has been added. VAT number 268785691. ORDERS MADE FROM ALL OTHER COUNTRIES INCLUDING THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA AND CANADA are VAT FREE. When you checkout 17.5% will be automatically deducted from the total price of the goods.

Credit Card Security We only accept credit/debit card payment. burnssweetshop.co.uk is a secure website. Your credit card details are securely processed by WorldPay (www.worldpay.com). This means that we do not receive any credit card details ourselves, only a confirmation that the transaction has been authorised.

Guarantee All of our sweets and chocolates are of the highest quality and are obtained from a wide variety of recognised manufacturers. We will do our utmost to ensure that your order reaches you in good condition. If however, you are not completely satisfied for any reason then do not hesitate to contact us and we will endeavour to rectify the problem to the best of our ability.

Returns Policy In the unlikely event that you are not completely satisfied with the goods you receive from burnssweetshop.co.uk please contact us immediately by email. You can also return the product to us with a receipt for return postage and an explanation of why it was unsatisfactory to you, and your order will be refunded in full. However, please note that we do accept liability for any loss or damage of packages whilst in transit, nor for any delays caused by the postal Services. All complaints will be acknowledged by email, and you will be contacted about any further action within the next five working days.

Please note: we do our utmost to ensure that all our products are sent to you in perfect condition. However, we cannot be responsible for any damages which may have occurred during transport, as a result of extreme weather conditions e.g. high humidity which may result in deterioration of boilings or extreme heat that may melt chocolate covered items.
